Sunday

Sunday morning was spent at church and the afternoon was spent at the park.  The kids slept in somewhat (7:40ish) so we ended up at the 10:00 church service instead of the 8:30.  This eats up more the day than I like, but it was nice having both my parents at church with me.  The rest of the day was nice burning off some energy at the park!

Monday

I had to take Benjamin to his 4 month doctor visit on Monday morning just before the boys had swim lessons so Grambie and Geep offered to take Will and James to their lesson so they wouldn't be late.  Benjamin did great at his appointment: weighing in at 16lbs 3.5oz measuring 26in and he took his shots like a champ, only crying a little bit.

Will and James are really starting to make strides with swim lessons.  They are participating more and more!  I'm so proud of them!!  We stopped at McDonalds for ice cream cones after swim lessons

Ellie and I were matching, I love my little girl!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a beautiful day, the sun was out and the air felt warm.  So after we picked the boys up from school we took them down to the beach with a picnic lunch.  My boys and Ellie enjoy the beach, but especially James.  I feel like he kind of comes alive at the beach.  He loves the sand and running around and getting close to the water and then running away (one wave caught him this time though.  He wasn't pleased when the wave kept coming and he tripped getting his pants wet.  He fell in about an inch of water, but it was freezing and he didn't like it much!)

Wednesday

Another Wednesday of the boys having speech and swim lessons.  We stopped at Costco for Pizza, hot dogs and ice cream after swimming.  After our Costco stop I took the kids home because they were a little tired and we all had about 45 minutes of quiet time (something we haven't done in a really long time).  After all having some time to ourselves I took the kids down to our new favorite park!

I took this picture after Will had gone up to James (who was upset) and encouraged him to come back and play with us!  It was sweet to watch him comfort him and ask him to come back and play.  (James was upset because Will caught him while playing hide and seek and Will said to him "You will probably catch me next time")

Thursday

The boys had school on Thursday and they were so excited to take their valentines to school and hand them out at their Valentine's Day party!

Ellie loving on Benjamin.

This is my sweater from when I was a baby.  My mom brought it for Ellie's baby dolls and she keeps putting it on herself.  Its so funny that she's even able to get into it because it was mine around the time I was 6 months.

Friday

Happy Valentine's Day!  Our day started with special hearts on William, James, and Ellie's bedroom doors and a festive breakfast!  The kids were so excited for valentine pancakes.

My two littlest Valentines got decked out in their Valentine's Day finest.

My two littlest Valentine's together!

After our festive breakfast we went to the aquarium for the afternoon.  I love watching the boys together, they are so sweet!

My kids love using the binoculars on the deck of the aquarium.  We saw starfish, otters, some seabirds and sea lions off the back deck.

Ellie gets this face from me.  I have a picture of me at about Ellie's age making this same face and she  started making this face all on her own and it cracks me up!

Saturday

Saturday was our last full day with my parents in town.  We started our morning off decorating the valentine's day cookies I made the day before.  The kids dipped the cookies in icing and used all the sprinkles available!

The boys love puzzles and worked together putting this puzzle together.  They were so proud of themselves and excited to show everyone especially Grambie and Geep!

In the after noon we went out for an adventure.  We had planned to go to Point Lobos, but it was extremely busy so we kept driving and found another place to "hike".  It ended up being beautiful!  It was a little cold, but the kids had a blast.  They were so proud of how high up they hiked and wanted to follow every path they saw.  I was so proud and impressed with them especially Ellie, they walked the entire time and didn't complain at all.

Grambie and Geep bought the boys new comforters for their beds and they were so excited!  Geep was surprised at how excited they were.

Grambie snuck into Ellie's room to take a picture of her.  She loved all of Ellie's stuffies and blankets in her bed.
