Weekly Highlights | February 16-22

4:41 PM

Well another week has come and gone.  Since this week had presidents day it both felt like it was a little longer and shorter than normal if that makes any sense!

Sunday

This Sunday we actually stayed home from church.  My dad is was sick and all three of the older kids have runny noses and Ellie and Will have a little cough so I thought we shouldn't go spreading our germs around.  Sunday was a little sad because my parents left.  We had such a great visit and its always hard to have them leave.  Ellie said "I'm so sad.  I miss Grambie Geep."

After Grambie and Geep left we played outside a bit in the pretty weather to life our spirits!

I love my little Ellie, so much personality in a little person!

Monday

Monday I wanted to do something fun with the kids since the boys didn't have swim lessons because it was President's Day.  So we headed out to the zoo for the second time since we bought our membership over the summer.  We had so much fun!

James was the only one brave enough to feed the Elephant carrots this time.  He was so excited for this, elephants are his favorite animal.  The shirt he is wearing actually has an elephant on it, that I made for him.  Ellie has been talking about the elephant all week long: "elephant so big.  ate carrots." When asked if she fed the elephant she answered "No I scared"

William's favorite animal was the alligators and Ellie's was the lion.

Tuesday

Will and James headed back to school.  Ellie, Benjamin and I stopped at the commissary where we found Wyman's frozen Maine blueberries (These are the best blueberries and I was so excited to find them.  They taste just like Maine!)

Wednesday

Wednesday was another day of speech for Will and James and then swim lessons.  After getting home from those activities I took the kids out on a walk/bike ride.  We found another new park to play at.  The kids had a fun time exploring someplace new, except for when Ellie tried going down something that wasn't a slide and bit her tongue.  I left the park with blood on my shirt

Ellie showing Benjamin the letters on her leapfrog while waiting for her brothers to finish swim lessons.

I love his big blue eyes!

Benjamin started wearing 9 month jammies.  I don't understand why my baby is so big!

Thursday

The boys had school again on Thursday and the police came for a visit at their school.  They brought one of their SWAT vehicles and were still there when it was time to pick the kids up from school.  It was so neat to see the large vehicle up close

The tires on this vehicle were about as big as Will and James and bigger than Ellie!

Will and James built this structure in the hallway and were very proud of it.  (It stayed there for two days!)

I love getting to peek in on my kids while they are sleeping.

Friday

We spent the day at home since we didn't have a car.  (Chris borrowed my car to drive back to Lemoore to pick up the rest of his stuff that was left on the boat when he flew off).  We went for a walk/bike ride again and found another park we hadn't been to before!

I'm so blessed that these two are mine!

Handsome little boy wearing a shirt from cousin Luke.

Besides the pants (which I put on her) Ellie dressed herself:  she chose a skirt then a dress and then another skirt on top of the dress!

Saturday

Saturday was a fun family day!  We took a trip to the aquarium as whole family and saw all sorts of stuff. we spent about four hours there which is the longest amount of time we've spent there is a while.

The picture doesn't do it justice but every time Ellie would take a bite she would leann her head back and go "mmm"  She
