Weekly Recap | May 31- June 6

Sunday

Sunday was a quiet day at home.  I started working on cleaning out Benjamin's room.  (Until this point there has been just a few extra things in Benjamin's room and since he's started sleeping in there at night I thought it was time to get it set up more like a room for him)

While Benjamin napped I played outside on the patio with the big kids.  Ellie and I played memory and then James and I played slap jack.

After Benjamin's morning nap we went on a walk because the kids were bouncing off the walls.  When we got back from our walk the kids ate lunch watched a little tv and then we went back out for a bike ride, burning off more energy!

James can be so sweet with Benjamin.  He always tells me how cute he is.

Monday

Ellie set up the memory game for us to play all by herself.  She found six pairs and then lined them up in three rows with four cards in each row.  She was so proud of herself and so was I!

I finished cleaning out Benjamin's room.

The kids and I made a run to Target Drive up and picked up a few things.

Watching a squirrel eating birdseed out of Ellie's bird feeder.

Tuesday

The kids and I cleaned up our little Adirondack chairs for the kids to use on the patio.  They helped me scrub and clean the chairs and then they blew bubbles, used their water squirters

I got to chat with my sister for a while which was super fun!

Ellie and I with Benjamin went out for a walk/bike ride after dinner because she really wanted to and the boys didn't.  It was really nice out and Ellie would stop and jump around making Benjamin laugh, it was so cute.  Ellie loves riding down the big hill and she was doing a great job going down quickly until she hit a bump or something and she fell off her little bike.  I was very proud of her after I cuddled her for a moment she hoped back on her bike and finished riding down the hill.  She kept telling me "It doesn't hurt, it just beed (bleed)".

The boys worked on their kiwico crates.  They love doing the crafts every months.

Water table fun!

Wednesday

We were playing hide and seek and this was Ellie's hiding spot!

Someone enjoyed a taste of pie!

Putting Benjamin down for his nap.  I could hold him forever.

Sleeping with her water bottle and all her stuffies

Thursday

In the morning on Thursday we ran out to pick up the few things I ordered at Old Navy and Micheals.  When we got home I put Benjamin down for a nap and sat with the Ellie, William and James and read them stories for about an hour.  Then we went outside to the garage and I picked up and the kids played.  We ended up putting up the bounce house for an hour.  While we were playing the James asked me to jump with them.  It was sweet, I told him the bounce house would have to be bigger and he asked me to get a bigger bounce house.  We ended up playing that I was the tickle and cuddle monster.

Bath time mohawk!

Benjamin bit my toes while I was reading stories to the kids

Friday
In the last few days we read the book "Berenstein Bears get Stage Fright" and in that book they use the phrase "piece of cake". The boys asked what that meant and I explained that it meant something was easy.  While out for our bike ride the boys rode their big bikes they got for Christmas. They were worried about going down on the hill with them but I told them it would be ok and if they were scared they could walk their bikes down.  When we started down the hill Will turned to me and said "Mommy this is easy" then he smirked and said "Mommy it's a piece of cake!"

We sad a squirrel that was hit by a car and after we passed it Ellie turned to me and said "That squirrel is so cute!"  I answered "Ellie that squirrel is dead". She looked at me and said "What? Why's he dead?"  "He's still cute"

Ellie's face when I asked to take her picture....
Then Ellie's face when I ask to send the picture to Grambie and Geep, haha!

Saturday

Ellie took this picture of Benjamin on my phone.

The boys worked on building a new lego today.  They still impress me with how they are able to put them together on their own.

On our bike ride I pulled out my phone to take a picture of Ellie and she responded with "Ahh No" I said "For Grambie and Geep" and she then stopped smiled and said "No problem". Also Ellie noticed that the dead squirrel we saw yesterday was gone and I said a bird probably ate it.  Ellie responded "Birds don't eat swirls (how she says squirrels)".   She then pointed at a vulture in the sky and said that she thought he ate the squirrel and when I said she was probably right.  She responded "No not eat  swirls!"
