Weekly Highlights | April 5- 11
9:30 PMWelcome to another week in our life, quarantine edition. This is our first full week of April and it was announced this week that our shelter in place order has been extended until May 4 so we'll see how much fun this next is!
Sunday
We started off our week watching church at 8:30 and it worked out much better than watching it at 11:30. It was a rainy day so we spent it inside. We really didn't do too much the kids took turns swinging in our indoor swing and playing.
Monday
The sun finally made an appearance on Monday and we were all really excited to get outside in the sunshine for a bit, but possibly not more than Ellie!
I love her smile!!
Her excitement for getting outside and playing bubbles was so sweet and watching her simple joy made me wish we could all feel the way Ellie does about playing with bubbles outside.
The boys obviously felt a little cooped up while we had been inside. They spent their time climbing up on their toy house, holding hands and jumping off the roof!
Tuesday
Tuesday was another nice day out and we went out for a bike ride for the kids. And then we spent more time outside playing. We had a picnic lunch and played with bubbles again. Benjamin tried red pepper. The kids got to play with water beads in the afternoon
Benjamin napped in his room
Wednesday
We spent most of the day indoors again. The boys played with their water beads again and it was a slow day. We needed a little fun in the evening so we ended up building towers out of plastic cups.
Will said he smiled so big because he was so proud of his building.
Thursday
Benjamin tried cream of wheat for the first time on Thursday.
We did a number activity with legos that was a hit with the boys, Ellie mostly just wanted to try and build with the legos. After finishing our number activity the boys and I built a few lego objects together. Will and James are really getting into lego building. They have several lego kits that they have done. Will built a car and plane and James built a house. They both wanted to build more items but I had to cook dinner so We compromised and I picked out all the pieces for the things the boys wanted to build after they went to bed so they could build them in the morning.
Friday
And build them they did. Before I even made it down to the kitchen William had found the pieces for the phone he wanted to build, found the instruction and built it all by himself. I then found the instructions for the castle and pirate ship they wanted to build and without help for the most part they completed them. I was so impressed!
Will with the castle and phone he built all by himself!
The plane and car he built the day before.
James with the ship he built!
Saturday
On Saturday we made Easter cookies. William, James and Ellie all got aprons from my mom and were so excited to open them and wear them while we were baking.
Benjamin sat on the floor with me and shared my mashed potatoes.
I can't get enough of his blue eyes!
