Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving!
It truly feels like the beginning of the holiday season, and the fact that we've had our Christmas tree up for over a week already definitely helps!

Someone celebrated his first Thanksgiving

We spent a quiet day at home today.
We didn't travel or have guests so it was just us.

We started our day off watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and the dog show afterwards.  I have always loved watching the parade growing up and enjoy getting to pass this tradition on to my children.  I have also secretly enjoyed watching to dog show afterwards because I just love seeing all the different dog breeds and I'm happy to report that Ellie enjoyed watching to dogs possibly more than the parade.

After watching tv I had a craft for the kids to do.  The boys told me things they were thankful for and I wrote them on the feathers of their turkeys and then they colored them.  Its fun to listen to what they are thankful for.  Ellie kind of colored a turkey too, and said she was thankful for mommy and daddy!

Things James is thankful for: My Teachers, Mommy & Daddy, William, Ellie & Benjamin, My new House, Playing Outside, My Turkey, and My Car

Things William is Thankful for: Mommy, Daddy & Benjamin, James & Ellie, Myself William, My New House, My Christmas Tree, Food, and My Lights

We cooked up some yummy food:
Turkey
Stuffing
Corn Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Sweet Potato Casserole
Cranberry Sauce
Gravy
and we tried a new Sausage and Rice Stuffing
(we decided that are going to start trying a new dish each at the holidays so it was fun to try something new)

All my babies together!

Too much Thanksgiving excitement for little Benjamin

All I wanted was a picture of me with all my babies and Chris made it happened for me!
