Weekend Happenings

9:00 PM

It was a long weekend for us, I was convinced most of yesterday that it was Sunday.  We got a great surprise with two sunny days instead of rain making our weekend much more enjoyable!

The weekend started off with our weekly indoor play trip on Saturday!  Our friends ended up being there making it that much more fun!

Sunday the boys and I headed to the zoo with our friends Allie and Aubrey.  It was the busiest it had been in a while, we didn't know it was half price weekend.  Despite the large crowd we still had a good time.  The boys were even brave enough to feed the giraffes all by themselves, holding out the lettuce leaves for the giraffes to eat.

Daddy missed his boys while we were gone and surprised them with the best block tower ever when we got home.  Will loved it so much all he could do was laugh.  Once William and James got their hands on the tower it was gone in about 5 seconds.

Monday was a quiet day with me running errands and Chris getting some quality time with his boys.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

It has been a quiet week here.  The nice weather continued until mid week, but we have been having rainy weather the last few days and is supposed to be here for until next Wednesday.   So I will definitely have to come up with things for the boys to do since staying in the house all day is not really an option they love to get out!

There are a few small things that made me smile this week:

I will probably never get tired of my boys in their sunglasses, this item could be on my list every week!

How cute is Will!

Sweet Little Valentines and festive breakfast
I try to make the boys a fun breakfast for holidays even though they may not remember it now.  It makes me happy and starts our days off on a festive note

Our play group had a Valentine's Day party and our host had set up this adorable photo booth for the kids and I have to say William looks pretty dapper!

Extra Snuggles and Sleeping Babies
James didn't want to sleep so I got the extra snuggles and I was able to get this picture of Will sleeping.  I feel like I have very few pictures of my sweet boys sleeping because I don't dare go into their room while they are asleep if I don't have to, nothing is worth waking them up!

Hope you all had a wonderful week!

Happy Monday night.  I hope you all are having a good start to your week!  I feel like a broken record when I say that it was another uneventful weekend here.  Chris had to go into work both on Saturday and Sunday so that left the boys and I alone.

We started Saturday off with our weekly trip to the gymnastics gym.  This has become a weekly outing since the boys love it so much.  I also realized how much they understand while we were there when I told them we should go jump on the trampoline, which was in a different room, and they both headed straight to the trampoline.  It amazes me that they understand the word trampoline, something they only hear when we are at the gym, and that they know where the trampoline is in the gym.  The boys also got to play in the foam block pit!

We made our way home to get in a little play time with daddy before the boys headed off for a nap and Chris headed to work.  The afternoon was spent playing at the park in our neighborhood.  The boys practiced walking around the play gym instead of crawling it.  It was cute to see how hard they concentrated as they held on and stepped up and down.

Sunday was a beautiful day so we spent most of it outside: back to the park and then in our backyard.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

As always I feel like this week has flown by.  Time goes by too quickly: week after week time flies by!  This week we went for the boys 15 months doctor appointment (update coming soon, I promise), celebrated our friends 2nd birthday, went to park and the zoo, and completed a little Valentine's day craft!  Here are just a few things that I loved this weekend:

Baby Sunglasses:
I can't get over how cute my boys look in their sunglasses.   They are finally keeping things on their heads so when we headed to the park on Wednesday I thought I'd see if they'd wear their sunglasses and they did for the whole time we were there!  It cracks me up and definitely fills my heart with joy!

Simple Joy:
We went to the zoo on Thursday and the boys were in the best mood!  They were silly and funny and thrilled to be there.  I love watching how excited they get over the simplest things.  The smallest things are funny to them and there isn't anything sweeter than hearing their laughter!

Hope you all had a wonderful week.  Now it's time to relax and enjoy time with family, have a great weekend!

We had another quiet weekend here around the Brave household with one exception of a fun event on Sunday.  The boys and I started off our weekend with a trip to the gymnastics gym for some indoor play.  This has definitely become a favorite of the boys and I think they look forward to playing on all the equipment.  I love watching their progress each week as they learn how to climb, "jump" and swing on things.

The rest of the day was spent playing at home as a family.

I love seeing the boys enjoy time with their daddy.  They love him so much!

Will cracks me up with these potato head glasses!  He is always requesting to have you put them on his face, so funny!

Outside in the backyard for more fun

They are playing peek-a-boo with the window.  It's so sweet, I love watching them play together!

A few pictures of William.  I was just having fun playing around with my camera.
I love his face so much, those little cheeks!

If I could only get him to actually look at me for the pictures, they would be so much better

Sunday was a fun day with a first for my amazing husband: he ran a half marathon!!  I'm so impressed.  I do not run so when people go out and run long distances it just amazes me!  I can't imagine going out and running for hours on end.  Chris ran his half marathon in one hour and fifty four minutes and the boys and I were there at the finish line to cheer him on!

Before heading out to meet Chris the boys had to make a sign to root on Daddy.

Waiting and Looking for Daddy

Chris finishing!
(I unfortunately missed taking a picture of Chris crossing the actual finish line, boo)

Celebrating with Daddy and fighting over his medal

My amazing husband, I'm so proud of him!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
